Entering the Scene

November 19th to 23rd

Artistic development worshop for cinematographic directing. With the duration of 5 days and directed by David Pope.

This workshop has as a goal, to provide visual aids for the participants to be able to tell a story through the camera, with both theory and practical sessions scheduled. The attention of the participants will be directed to the visual nature of the story. The scenes to shoot will not have dialogues and will focus on the essencial aspects of visual narrative.

This course is intended for 20 studants, with 5 groups of 4 people, each student will have a 3 hour timeframe to shoot the scene. The recordings will take place in a space that allows the teams to work closely in order to facilitate learning. The instructions will be given during the first day with a note of duration for the scene to shoot.

Podcast in divulging Cultural Events

November 16th to 24th

Workshop to develop the practice in capture, editing and online availability of media clips. It will have the Festival’s duration and will be directed by João Cerqueira and Mariana Conde.

Its objective is the practice of Podcasting and its immediate use in divulging, promoting and documenting cultural events. Including a set of practices as documentation, interview and reportage. There will be an integration of the workshop with the Festival’s Press Department.

  • Image gathering and editing
  • Post-production
  • Podcast and social network

Destined to a group from 10 to 15 participants which will be divided into teams that, directed by the trainers, will cover some of the Festival activities, interviews and reportages. The communicational dynamics and efficiency are the two fundamental aspects to be developed.
