Brasil, guest country at FIKE 2008

Brasil will be guest at next edition of FIKE 2008 - Évora International Short Film Festival.
Celebrating the long history of close relations between the two Portuguese speaking countries, the up-coming edition of FIKE - Évora International Short Film Festival will present a special selection of Brazilian short films.
A delegation of Brazilian producers and directors will be present at the next edition of FIKE with a special program of Brazilian cultural activities at the Festival. A selection of short films presented by the Atibaia Audiovisual Festival and Santa Maria Audiovisual Festival will be presented out of competition in the Festival.
FIKE and some cultural agents from Brazil signed one agreement last January in order to promote a close relation between their Festivals (Difusão Cultural de Atibaia and Atibaia Municipality). This Brazilian Delegation is also supported by the Brazilian Ministry of Culture trough its Audiovisual Secretariat. One of the main goals of this initiative is the promotion of closer contacts and experiences between Portuguese and Brazilian cinematographic agents.
The seventh edition of FIKE - Évora International Short Film Festival will take place next November and is supported, among others by the Municipality of Évora, University of Évora and ICA - Portuguese Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual and Ministry of Culture.

No presente ano a escolha caiu na Associação CANTINHO DOS ANIMAIS, pelo seu papel na defesa e protecção dos animais.
