He leaves Paris with his daughter Catherine (Sylvie Testud) and ends up in the dead of winter in Sainte-Simonedu–Nord, a typical tiny village in Saguenay, a remote region of Quebec. Away from the Parisian life, Pierre sees moves to Saguenay, tiny village in the remote region of Quebec with his daughter when he inherits an inn from his aunt. Away from Parisian life, Pierre sees an opportunity to pass on the quality he values most: happiness. But the mayor of Sainte Simone played by Remy Girard doesn’t want a second generation of frenchies. The film takes place in Paris and then in the far northern region of Quebec and boosts stunning cinematography.
