Speed and energy, in both your thoughts and your actions, are becoming ruling factors in our society. Our daily lives are dictated by disposable objects, speed and efficiency, the ever evolving technologies, and how fast information travels, oftentimes faster than we can adjust to. You have to be young and efficient. Being an old person is becoming harder and harder, due to the widening gap between the way the young and the old see the world and the information to which they have access. How do old people feel? Hopeless? Depressed? Useless to society? Rejected and excluded? With this film I intend to show how important it is for us to value the elderly and their wisdom, by integrating them into the unstoppable dynamics of this fast-paced society. Being old does not mean ceasing to exist. “Concert for Honk” is also a tribute to music; a way to thank the composers and musicians who have contributed greatly to the evolution of the art of filmmaking throughout the years. This is the second film of this trilogy ("Concert in the Dark", "Concert for Honk” and “Concert for Dancer").
